Our Programs
Discernment Journey Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit organization providing services to survivors of Domestic Violence and Human/Sex Trafficking. We offer comprehensive services to empower women on their path to recovery and independence. Our support extends to women reentering society after incarceration.
Our holistic, survivor-centered approach offers two core programs in addition to community outreach.
* Bev’s House: A Place to Call Home
* Brenda’s School: A Woman’s Resource

Educational Outreach Service
Our outreach service engages both clients and the community. This community education aimed at reducing stigma and reshaping public perception about these survivors. This initiative raises awareness about the realities and consequences of domestic violence and sex trafficking.

Our Driving Force
In Florida, more than half of the population are women. Our focus is on Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties, which together represent 26% of Florida's population (6.2 million residents).
Despite the scale of the urgent need, resources remain limited. Florida has 61 domestic violence organizations with only 17 offering family transitional housing. There are 14 women's prisons, nearly matching the number of facilities offering family transitional housing.
We are committed to lasting change and believe with your support, we can reach and empower more survivors to rebuild their lives.

Bev's House
A Place to Call Home
Bev’s House is a family transitional housing designed to offer a healing environment for survivors of Domestic Violence and Human/Sex Trafficking. For us, “family transitional housing” means housing for the survivor and her children, ensuring safety and stability for the entire family unit.
Bev's House will also serve the Military Veteran populations at the local level. Reach out to us to find out more information.
Bev's House honors our Founder's Mother in Name and our Founder's Father a Military Veteran.
Brenda's School
A Women's Resource
Brenda’s School is a life skills resource center for survivors, including women reentering society after incarceration. The curriculum covers essential skills such as financial literacy, childcare, apartment searching, car maintenance, and personal safety planning.
Everything a woman needs to regain control over her life to thrive economically, emotionally, and socially.

Brenda's School is named after a retired School Teacher who fought to be a change agent in the lives of all those around her.
